Gene Weimer, the President of Desert Equity Lending, directs all compliance requirements with State Banking and guides the flow of approximately $105,000,000 in annual funding.

As President of Consumer First Funding from 2000-2005, he was responsible for the same duties, as well as supervision of corporate banking and internal accounting, and management of all warehouse lines of credit. From 1997-2000, Mr. Weimer worked at first New West Lending and then U.S. Capital Mortgage, originating residential and commercial mortgages totaling between $1.5-2.4 million every month.

He also has considerable dealership financing experience, having worked as a finance manager for both Ed Moses Dodge and Pitre Chrysler.

Amanda Lenz is a Vice President and Secretary of Desert Equity Lending. She currently oversees the accounting and processing departments, consistently closes and/or originates 30-45 loans each month, and administrates lending, underwriting and fund transactions.

She was responsible for many of the same activities as director of the processing department at Consumer First Funding for over four years, and as a processor/underwriter at Bank One for two years. Amanda received her B.A. in Communication and Business from Arizona State University in 1997, after completing her Residential Mortgage Processing and Mortgage Broker License education at the Arizona School of Real Estate & Business in 2000.

Bill Jaffa has been the President of William S. Jaffa & Associates, P.C., a full-service accounting firm in Mesa, Arizona, since 1989. His firm provides services to various national and international entities, including mortgage brokerage, real estate, manufacturing, high-tech, wholesale, retail, and professional service companies.

Mr. Jaffa has extensive experience in real estate investments, commercial and residential development, the structure of real estate enterprises for both investors and dealors, and the organization of transactions involving like-kind exchanges and condemnations.

A former member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants’ tax division, Mr. Jaffa has also served with the Arizona Society of Certified Public Accountants as a tax liaison and member of the State magazine editorial committee and tax legislation subcommittee. Mr. Jaffa has lectured on various tax topics, and has published numerous tax articles both locally and nationally. While with Deloitte & Touche, f/k/a Deloitte Haskins & Sells, he served on three of the firm’s national committees in the areas of Arizona taxation, accounting periods and methods, and closely held corporations.

Mr. Jaffa has assisted the community extensively, having recently been a Mesa City Councilmember who served on the finance, utility, fire and police committees, the City of Mesa Board of Adjustment, and City of Mesa Planning and Zoning Board. Mr. Jaffa currently serves as the President of the Mesa West Rotary Club and board member of the Mesa Town Center Corporation, following stints as a board member of the Mesa Chamber of Commerce, Mesa Convention and Visitors Bureau, and the treasurer of the Mesa West Rotary Club.
